Suds and Scissors has been in business since 1996. I have taken two years off so that I could take care of my father. He has since passed 9/06/2010. My father had always wanted me to be happy and successful. He made it possible for me to have a boarding facility. I am thankful that I am able to provide a safe and fun environment for the ones that you and I love the most. I have been school trained and certified in 1988 and have worked around animals for as long as I can remember, starting out working for a Veterinarian when I was 15 on a work permit from school. Cleaning kennels and eventually worked my way to being his assistant.I then became interested in the grooming end of the business. In 1986 I went to work for a woman bathing dogs
and cats. While working for her full time I attended
a night school for grooming. After graduating I opened my own shop in Ft. Lauderdale. Then after moving to West Branch Mi. I opened Suds & Scissors Pet Grooming. After my father's passing I was able to open a boarding facility that even I would be comfortable leaving my own beloved pets with. I have also been training dogs since 1989 and have experience in showing confirmation as well as obedience.
I am a dog lover who has rescued and helped place numerous dogs and cats into good caring homes. I am driven to find animals a warm and caring home and ensure they are taken care of properly with all the love and care they deserve.
